One card is turned face-up to begin the discard pile, & the other cards form a draw pile. In order to produce legitimate sets or runs, players alternateltoday rummyy draw cards from the draw or discard piles. Three or four cards of the same number but different colors make up a set, whereas three or more consecutive numbers of the same color make up a run. Players have to strategically choose which cards to keep & which to discard as they move through their turns.
