Players take turns drawing & discarding cards from a standard 52-card deck in an attempt to match their hands into the necessary combinations. Rummy's fundamental structure centers on creating melds,teen ptti which can be runs (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit) or sets (three or four cards of the same rank). Also, players need to understand the idea of "going out," which is when a player successfully melds all of their cards until they are holding only the unmatched cards.
