The goal is to form runs (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit) or sets (three or four cards of the same rank) with the cards that each player begins with. Inblackjack slots most games, the player draws a card from the draw pile or the discard pile, then discards one card from their hand to start the game. Until a single player successfully melds every card in their deck, this cycle continues. Different Rummy variations might add special rules, like different scoring schemes or more card-melding techniques.
